About the Austin Couples Therapy Collective

We believe strong relationships are the foundation of healthier people, families, and communities.

Why we exist

We created this collective because couples therapists often work in isolation, even though relationships are at the heart of so much of our work. We wanted a place where clinicians who care deeply about relationships, attachment, intimacy, and family systems could connect with one another, build genuine professional relationships, and strengthen the work we do.

At its core, the Collective has two simple goals.

First, to build a welcoming, inclusive community among Austin-area therapists who share a relational perspective. We believe that when clinicians know one another and grow together, everyone benefits — including the clients we serve.

Second, to make it easier for clients to find the right referral. The best referrals happen through real relationships, not algorithms. By getting to know one another and understanding each therapist’s unique strengths and areas of expertise, we can make referrals based on genuine trust, clinical fit, and confidence that our clients will be well cared for.

We intentionally keep the Collective simple. Rather than creating another professional organization with committees, dues, and heavy commitments, we’re building a welcoming community centered on connection, collaboration, and growth. Through a free therapist directory, informal networking events, and training opportunities, our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for connection without asking members to take on another major commitment.

Whether you’ve specialized in couples therapy for years, are expanding your work into relationship therapy, or simply want to connect with other relational clinicians, we’d love to have you join us.

Our vision is simple: a stronger community of therapists, stronger referral relationships, and ultimately, healthier relationships throughout Austin.

The founders

The Collective was started by two full-time Austin couples therapists who wanted more community, better referrals, and a stronger sense of connection in the work.

Laura Caslin, LCSW

Laura is an East Austin psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience helping couples change the patterns that keep them stuck. Her work is engaged, direct, and goes beneath the surface to help partners build relationships that feel more honest, grounded, and alive. Laura’s other clinical interests include family relationships, neurodivergence, group therapy, complex trauma, and working with creative and high-achieving people.

Dylan Davies, MA, LMFT, LPC

Dylan is a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in couples therapy. She brings a mix of clarity, depth, and a steady willingness to face what’s hard — helping partners improve communication, understand their attachment dynamics, and break unhelpful patterns. She also works with individuals on codependency recovery and facilitates process-oriented groups.
