In Dylan’s words

The couples I do my best work with

I love working with couples who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get honest about what’s not working. Maybe you’ve had the same argument a hundred times, grown apart, or tried therapy before without much changing. I’m especially drawn to couples who are curious about their own contributions to the dynamic and willing to challenge old habits. You don’t have to have it all figured out, but you do have to be willing to look at yourselves.

My style in the room

I’m warm, direct, curious, and pretty engaged. I’m not the therapist who’s going to sit back and nod while you have the same fight you’ve been having at home. I’ll interrupt, ask uncomfortable questions, point out patterns, and sometimes bring a little humor into the room. I’m compassionate, but I’m not afraid to challenge you. I want us to get beneath the surface of your arguments and understand what’s really going on between you.

Clients often tell me they appreciate…

My honesty, warmth, and willingness to say the things that need to be said. I’m direct without being judgmental, and I’m not afraid to challenge people when they’re getting in their own way. I bring humor, curiosity, and a healthy dose of accountability to our work.

Outside the therapy room…

Outside the therapy room, I’m happiest outdoors, making something with my hands, or getting lost in music. I play the banjo, love designing and sewing clothes, and enjoy spending time with my favorite people and my dog. I’m endlessly curious and love finding new things to learn, try, and experience.

Not the right fit for

I typically refer out couples dealing with ongoing domestic violence, active addiction, or high-conflict custody disputes, as these situations often require more specialized support.
