In Katie’s words
The couples I do my best work with
Couples going through big life transitions, wanting to feel more heard and understood, and learning to hold onto oneself while moving closer to one another are all areas I love helping couples navigate.
My style in the room
I like to bring a mix of directness and deep listening - helping couples grow the skills and confidence to work through their own stuck points, but giving guidance and reflection when needed. I also like to bring humor into the room as another resource for couples to draw upon as we face some of the hard parts of relationship.
Clients often tell me they appreciate…
I'm a great listener, help unravel messy relationship tangles, and bring a fresh perspective to old-worn patterns that can often feel stuck.
Outside the therapy room…
I'm an Austin transplant from St. Louis, and I bring a religious trauma lens to my work with couples, individuals, and groups. I love movies, cooking over baking, and getting my hands dirty in art or nature.
Not the right fit for
Couples with active domestic violence, substance abuse, or high conflict/custody disputes.
