In Minal’s words
The couples I do my best work with
I work especially well with couples who want to deepen their connection, improve communication, and better understand the patterns keeping them stuck or disconnected. I'm particularly drawn to multicultural, interracial, and interfaith couples navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and differing values. I also enjoy working with couples facing recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, parenting challenges, or major life transitions. I welcome neurodivergent couples and partners navigating anxiety or family-of-origin dynamics. My ideal referrals are couples who are curious about their relationship patterns, open to self-reflection, and motivated to build a more intentional, connected relationship - not just couples in crisis.
My style in the room
My style is warm, collaborative, active, and nonjudgmental. I create a space where both partners feel heard, understood, and safe enough to be honest, even when conversations get uncomfortable. I'm not a blank-slate therapist. I engage, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and help couples recognize the patterns shaping their relationship. I'm EFT trained with at attachment lens and tailor our work to each couple's needs and goals. Mindfulness and slowing down are central to my approach, helping partners become more aware of their reactions and each other. I value transparency, direct communication, and feedback throughout our work together.
Clients often tell me they appreciate…
Clients appreciate my honesty, warmth, and ability to really get where they're coming from without judgment. I bring humor and a well-placed curse word to the room, making difficult conversations feel less intimidating. I don't shy away from hard truths, but make them easier to face together.
Outside the therapy room…
Outside of work, I'm a mom to three little humans, an avid traveler, and always up for adventure. You'll find me hiking, swimming, doing yoga, trying new foods, or hosting glowstick dance parties with my kids. I love meeting new people, exploring new places, and never saying no to fun.
Not the right fit for
Couples seeking discernment counseling, court-mandated therapy, or support during active domestic violence or coercive control. I also refer out when substance use or untreated acute mental health concerns require a higher level of care, or when a couple is seeking a therapist who specializes in a specific issue outside my scope of practice.
